GMC Booking for WordPress

Take direct bookings on your WordPress site. 0% commission: replace Booking.com's 15–18% cut with a one-time licence. Transactional anti-overbooking, Stripe payments, per-night calendar, IT/ES/EN.

What it does

  • Transactional anti-overbooking — night lock via SELECT...FOR UPDATE (InnoDB): two guests can't book the last unit
  • Expiring holds — an unpaid booking releases inventory via WordPress cron
  • Real Stripe payments — Payment Element + HMAC webhook (book → pay → confirm → release)
  • Seasonal rate plans + coupons — per-season pricing, per-night override, percentage/fixed discounts
  • Per-night calendar — open/close, quantity inventory, half-open range [checkin, checkout)
  • Shortcodes[gmcbooking_catalog], [gmcbooking_property id="1"], [gmcbooking_checkout]
  • Install — Plugins > Add New > Upload Plugin. Activation creates the tables.
  • Auto-update — from the WordPress Plugins screen via public JSON feed (no licence key, GET cached 12h, fail-silent)

Installation (WordPress)

  1. Download the plugin .zip from the link in your purchase email (or your account area). Keep it zipped.
  2. In your dashboard go to Plugins → Add New Plugin → Upload Plugin.
  3. Choose the .zip and click Install Now, then Activate.
  4. Open the plugin’s settings screen (it appears in the admin menu after activation) and add your keys / options.
  5. Automatic updates: the plugin checks for updates every 12 h and shows them under Plugins / Dashboard → Updates while your licence is active.

Requirements: WordPress 6.0 or newer, PHP 8.1 or newer.

Frequently asked questions

How do I install it?

Follow the step-by-step installation guide above. For Joomla you upload the package under System → Install → Extensions; for WordPress under Plugins → Add New → Upload Plugin. It takes under a minute.

How do I get updates?

Updates are automatic. Once installed, the extension/plugin checks our update server on its own (Joomla every 24 h, WordPress every 12 h) and offers the new version in the standard updates screen, as long as your licence is active. You can also re-download the latest build from your account at any time.

Which versions are supported?

Joomla products run on Joomla 5.x and 6.x with PHP 8.1+. WordPress products run on WordPress 6.0+ with PHP 8.1+.

Is it available in my language?

Yes — every product ships with English, Italian and Spanish out of the box, and respects your site’s multilingual setup.

What does the licence include?

The software is released under the GNU GPL. Your purchase gives you the official build, automatic updates and support for one site. Need it on more sites or for clients? Contact us for a volume/agency arrangement.

Do you offer a refund?

Yes. If the product doesn’t work as described and we can’t fix it for you, you can request a refund within 14 days of purchase.

How do I get support?

Email our support address shown on this site with your order reference. We answer in English, Italian and Spanish.

What’s the difference between the Single and the Portal licence?

Single is for renting out your own properties: you publish your apartments or rooms with their rates, availability and options, and take the bookings yourself. Portal is for running a marketplace — an Airbnb-style site where other hosts list their properties and you earn a commission on every booking (host onboarding, Stripe Connect payouts, commission, messaging). The Portal licence costs twice the Single licence; pick the one that matches how you’ll use it.

Can I take real payments?

Yes — Stripe and PayPal are built in, with deposits, multi-currency, taxes/VAT, coupons and refunds. The guest chooses the provider at checkout.

Does it prevent double bookings?

Yes. Availability is held with a transactional lock at checkout, plus two-way iCal sync, so the same dates can never be sold twice.

Joomla or WordPress?

Both. GMC Booking ships as a native Joomla component and as a standalone WordPress plugin with the same engine — buy the one that matches your site.
