Agaete opens Puerto de las Nieves to the public on 22 June: Smart Ecoports and 2026 Blue Flags

On Monday 22 June, Puertos Canarios is holding an open day at Puerto de las Nieves in Agaete, designed to bring the public closer to the Smart Ecoports project, a roadmap that puts sustainability, efficiency, technological innovation and the digitalisation of port services at its core.
The event combines an outreach dimension with an institutional one. Activities open to the public run from 10:00, while the ceremony awarding the 2026 Blue Flags of the Canary Islands takes place from 12:30. Organisers stress that this act forms part of a wider programme conceived to explain how the regional ports are evolving towards a smarter, cleaner model that is better connected to their surroundings.
