Puerto del Rosario's council presented GALIA on Monday, a technology system already in operation that digitises the maintenance, inspection and monitoring of the municipality's hydraulic infrastructure. The tool plans work on the sewer network, manholes and pumping stations (EBAR), and provides real-time information, dynamic maps, work-order control and automatic reports and indicators.
The platform uses algorithms that analyse historical data and needs detected during inspections to identify the network's most sensitive points and recommend the optimal maintenance frequency. Its features include pole and CCTV-camera inspections, photo and video capture, geo-referencing of new elements and permanent updating of the geographic information system (GIS).
GALIA will manage a complex infrastructure of 121 kilometres of network, 22 pumping stations and more than 9,000 manholes across the municipality, giving a precise and continuously updated picture of the network's condition.
