What to see in northern Fuerteventura
Corralejo, dunes and Lobos
The Natural Park dunes, the Grandes Playas and the islet of Lobos off the harbour. The ideal base for exploring the north.
El Cotillo and the lagoons
To the west, El Cotillo with its turquoise lagoons (families) and the wild Tostón beaches (surf and sunsets). A relaxed vibe.
Lajares, La Oliva and the volcanoes
Inland villages: Lajares (surf and craft market), La Oliva (Casa de los Coroneles) and the climb to the Calderón Hondo crater.
How to plan it
2-3 days with a Corralejo base are enough. A car helps, though many places are reachable by bus. More wind on the west coast: plan beaches accordingly.
